MISSION

OBJECTIVES

The primary purpose of Afrometrics is to improve Africana communities through research and analysis. Afrometrics is dedicated to producing data that will help Africana communities to address their problems, meet their challenges, and achieve their goals in effective and enduring ways. This organization focuses its investigation on the problems, challenges, and goals that are most important to Africana communities. Afrometrics is also dedicated to producing high-quality empirical, objective, and innovative studies. The organization's methodology is culturally grounded and solution-oriented, placing a special emphasis on the people being studied. 
  • To conduct empirical research on the Africana/Black experiences. 
  • To conduct research that is relevant to the problems, challenges, and goals of peoples of African descent. 
  • To use approaches to research that are grounded in the unique experiences, agency, and cultural assumptions of peoples of African descent. 
  • To produce data that can be useful in addressing the problems, meeting the challenges, and\or achieving the goals of Africana communities.
